Job Title: Crane Maintenance Fitter
Reports To: Workshop Manager
Location: Bridge of Don, Aberdeen
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance to the Company`s fleet of Mobile Cranes.
Primary Objective
To deliver high standards of workmanship and technical competence across all preventatives, general and breakdown maintenance activities, carrying out Mobile Crane servicing and repairs as directed by the Workshop Manager, and ensuring agreed standards are achieved and maintained in a timely manner while upholding effective internal and external communication.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist and work alongside workshop staff to ensure duties are being carried out efficiently and accurately
- Assist and work alongside workshop staff with preventative maintenance and servicing for Cranes
- Maintain materials, tools and equipment
- Ensure the mechanical workshop and surrounds are kept tidy
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality control standards are met
- Maintain the fleet efficiently to ensure it operates to full capacity with minimal downtime
- Perform servicing and repairs on cranes
- Accurately maintain service records for each crane detailing all faults, repairs, service dates etc
- Maintain health and safety standards at all time
- Schedule crane time with the operations department to carry out repairs and/or maintenance to equipment
- Secure necessary materials and parts for the work in good time, ordering/chasing from suppliers if necessary
- Undertake other duties that management may reasonably request
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years working as a Maintenance Fitter in a similar role within Crane Industry
- Previous experience with cranes (essential)
- Current valid UK Driving License
